We accept selected trade-finance and commercial transactions under written client authorisation, where our review, structuring, documentation and transaction-coordination capabilities can add measurable value. Have a transaction that requires specialist assistance?

We work with a limited number of clients under written mandates to analyse, structure, prepare and coordinate qualifying international trade and finance transactions. Every mandate sets out a defined scope of work.

  • Written scope of authority — what we are, and are not, authorised to do
  • Agreed fee basis, confidentiality and non-circumvention
  • Full KYC / AML and source-of-funds verification before acceptance
  • Credit, issuance and funding decisions rest with licensed institutions

We are an independent advisory firm. We do not issue, confirm, fund, monetise or trade bank instruments, and we do not offer or list instruments for sale. Mandates are accepted only from qualified clients in respect of genuine underlying trade or commercial transactions.

Who We Are

We've Sat on the
Bank's Side of the Table.

We have sat on the other side — issuing, confirming, scrutinising, negotiating, discounting and making payments under letters of credit from inside the banks themselves.

That means we know exactly where a transaction can fail, what an issuing, confirming or negotiating bank is really looking for, and how to get your documents accepted on first presentation.

“A credit is paid on documents, not on goodwill. Get the documents right and the money follows.”

We enable exporters to offer credit terms to buyers in emerging and high-risk markets worldwide — and then take that payment risk off their books. Because the sale is backed by a letter of credit or an avalised draft from the buyer's bank, the risk of non-payment can be transferred to international banks, so clients sell on credit into difficult markets and still get paid, safely and early.

And because payment under an LC is based on the documents presented, we help clients prepare and check them to international banking standards — UCP 600 and ISBP 821 — so presentations are clean and payment is never held up by technicalities or discrepancies.

FAQ

The questions
we hear most.

Straight answers on scope, fees, timelines and what we can — and cannot — do for your transaction.

Letter of credit and bank guarantee documentation under review
We are an independent advisory and document review service. We read your letter of credit, bank guarantee or standby instrument line by line against UCP 600, URDG 758 and ISP98, flag the clauses that can cause rejection or non-payment, and prepare a clean file your bank can act on. We do not issue instruments, lend money or hold client funds — facilities are always provided by licensed banks.
No. Any party in Ghana or elsewhere promising to “issue” you an LC or BG for a fee should be treated as a red flag. Instruments are issued only by licensed banks and financial institutions. Our role is to structure the transaction, prepare the documentation and position your application so that a bank can approve it.
Fees are quoted per engagement after we see the transaction. A single-instrument review carries a fixed review fee; ongoing advisory and structuring work is quoted on a retainer or scope basis. Every fee is confirmed in writing before any work begins — there are no success commissions tied to the value of your facility.
A standard LC or guarantee review is returned within 2–3 business days of receiving complete documents. Complex structures — multi-party, transferable or back-to-back arrangements, or transactions across unfamiliar jurisdictions — typically run 1–2 weeks. We tell you the realistic timeline before you commit.
We regularly advise on transactions from USD 100,000 upward, across imports of machinery, fuel, agricultural inputs and construction materials, and exports of cocoa, cashew, shea, timber and minerals. What matters more than size is a documented, legitimate commercial purpose and full transparency about every party to the trade.
We maintain working familiarity with Ghanaian commercial banks and their correspondent relationships in Europe, the UAE, China and India. We are not agents of any bank and receive no commission from them — that independence is precisely what allows us to tell you when a proposed structure is not worth pursuing.
Yes, and this is where advisory adds the most value. New traders are the ones most often handed predatory payment terms, unrealistic shipment windows or discrepancy-prone document requirements. We explain the reasoning behind each clause so that by the second or third transaction you can read an instrument yourself.
The draft instrument or bank offer if one exists, the underlying sales or purchase contract, proforma invoice, and a short description of the counterparty and shipping route. If you have not reached draft stage yet, a description of the intended trade is enough for an initial assessment.
Yes. All documents and counterparty details are handled under strict confidentiality and are never shared with third parties without your written instruction. We are happy to sign a non-disclosure agreement before you send any transaction documents.

Still unsure whether your transaction fits?Send us the draft instrument and we will tell you honestly, before any fee is agreed.
